Description
Volume 24 of Red Magazine – The Island Storybook, edited by David Weale, highlights Island life and culture.
Howdy REDheads, it’s been a bumpy road through 2020 thus far. We hope you’re all doing well and staying positive in spite of the storm cloud that seems to be stuck above us. We’ll get through this with strength and love, and lots of fresh reading material. We’ve assembled a brand new volume of RED, number twenty-four, ready to launch the first week of November. Cozy up and enjoy!
As usual, we’ve got an assortment of regular contributors and new authors on board.
New to the pages of RED is Graham Putnam, who has shared a hitch-hiking story that will have you on the “Edge of Your Seat” in suspense.
RED regular Kevin MacLeod has returned with a short biographical tale about one of the most brave and highly decorated naval captains the Island has ever produced, Captain Frederick Thornton “Fritz” Peters.
We’ve got a story about the Arsenault Sisters, a well-known dancing trio from the Evangeline area, and how their lives were forever altered when their father came home with dance shoes one day.
We’re also super excited to announce that we’ve launched an Island wide mustard pickle competition – the Saucy Pickle Award! Catch all the details in volume twenty-four.
All of this and a whole lot more jam-packed with love into volume twenty-four of RED: The Island Storybook.
